FrameLab

FrameLab: one canvas.
Everyone’s edits, enforced on the wire.

FrameLab is a real-time collaborative canvas: draw shapes, leave comments, and watch your team’s edits arrive live on the same document, the same shape as Figma or Miro. Sign in with Google or a magic email link to open your first canvas.

Sign in once. Every canvas is real — Postgres-backed, offline-first from the first click.

Google or a magic email link — no guest mode, no throwaway session. Documents, roles, and membership live in a real database; canvas contents sync over a dedicated WebSocket relay and persist to IndexedDB for offline-first reload.

Drag a shape. Watch it land on the other side.

This is the actual CRDT engine FrameLab runs — Yjs, merging two views directly in your browser below. In production the same merge happens after a trip through the WebSocket relay; here it’s local, so you can see it without a second device.

Flip your role. Watch the tools disappear — not grey out.

A Viewer’s toolbar has no rectangle tool to click. It isn’t disabled in the UI — the option was never rendered, because the role that would allow it was never granted. Try it below.

Go offline. Keep working. Reconnect — it catches up.

Every edit is saved continuously, network or no network at the moment of the edit. Disconnect the pane on the left below — it keeps accepting changes. Reconnect and the other side resyncs in one shot, the same shape a real reconnect takes.

That's not a subset. Same engine, real accounts, real persistence.
